Almost our One Year Anniversary!!!

Well we are just a few days away from officially being married for one year. This year has passed by so quickly--

We love married life- and we love each other!

Our latest addiction is playing Settlers of Catan, we like to play it online (games.asobrain.com) and also on a table with the board game. It is sooo much fun.

Lisa and I will be taking our second honeymoon in Dallas, TX then we will be attending Mary Kay Seminar this month.

I have been busy like a bee, literally, this week in the mornings. I have started yet another venture, hosta hybridizing, and I am very excited to see the results. This requires collecting pollen from one plant and placing it on the stigma of another. In other words I am pretending to be a bee. I like doing it but it takes about two hours every day in order to pollinate all the flowers that need to be pollinated. In the picture you can see little white tags hanging from a few of the flowers, those are the labels in order to tell me what plants were used to pollinate each flower.

This year I told Lisa that I would make her dress for Seminar and I did, I will post some pictures later. It is made out of yellow silk with a pink overlay, the overall appearance is a salmon pink. Beautiful. Of course somebody like Lisa doesn't need a gorgeous dress to look amazing.

School Starts Tomorrow

I and Lisa traveled to Dallas, TX to participate in a seminar put on by Mary Kay. As some of you know Lisa is in DIQ (Director in Qualification) with Mary Kay. This was my second time attending Seminar in Dallas with Lisa and I will happily admit-- It is just like attending a Broadway Production. Absolutely Awesome!

The picture was taken through our hotel room window... isn't the sunrise in Dallas beautiful? I thought so! Lisa wanted me to shut the blinds before we went to bed, but I wanted to watch the sunrise. I am sure glad that I did. I even got the picture.

Well it didn't take long for our ward to give us a calling. I and Lisa are now teaching Primary. Ironically they are the 7-9 year olds. The same age as my students as school. It's wonderful to be able to teach with Lisa. I enjoy every moment.

I have been teaching a Summer Kick Start program at school for the past few weeks. I have to admit that my class is ready and prepared for the new school year because of that. This year I have so much prepared for my students I really think we will speed ahead in the right direction.

Tomorrow (August 18, 2008)- The 2008-2009 School Year will begin. I am very excited. Lisa came and helped me rearrange my room. I was also able to get rid of my desks and receive tables instead which I am very excited about.

Lisa is busy with her business. She is doing awesome. Everyday we share with her successes. Tonight I helped her start designing a goal poster so she has a visual of her goals. It is wonderful to be able to know each others desires and goals. Isn't life great when you share?

I was able to harvest some begonia seed the other day from some of my favorite angel-wing begonias. In December I will sow some and see what I get.

Until later----

It's Official! We are MARRIED!

Our Wedding Day was PERFECT! Nothing went wrong. We were married at 8 in the morning in the Timpanogos Temple. Then we spent about two hours outside the temple taking pictures with the sun raising the temperature quickly. Maybe our sweat made our faces nice ans shiny for the pictures.

Later.... Our reception was literally "unreal". It was totally beautiful and everything was just as we wanted. Our garden was seriously in full bloom and the atmosphere was terrific. In the background we had Italian Classical and Andrea Bocelli music playing to create the atmosphere.

We had a constant flow of guest for three hours. It was a lot of fun to see family, friends, and even people that I do not even know.

Our photographer, Michelle, from edreamsphotography.com was totally the best. I would totally refer her for any event. She really helped us make our day perfect.

My niece Shayleigh thought that a wedding shower was held in the bathroom. And she was told that she would get a picture with Lisa. However- Shayleigh thought that we would literally get in the shower- ao we succumbed to her idea and actually put Shayleigh and Lisa in wedding attire in the shower and Michelle took their picture. I can't wait to see the pictures.

I and Lisa were very blessed to have family and friends that help us on our wedding day in so many ways.

Independence Day- Freedom Run 5k

Me and Lisa slept out on the parade route to save our places. We were with Nanette, Chaylce, Megan, Emmalee, Angela, Landon, Braxton, Braydon, and Shayleigh. It was very fun!

First thing in the morning I and Lisa were picked up by Mike and Elayne to go to the starting line for our 5k. This was my first 5k, but not Lisas.

The run was very fun! Many family members ran and we all did very well! This is who ran (Lisa, Ryan, Mike, Elayne, Logan, Casey, and Monica---Angela also ran in flip flops! Crazy Girl!)

We then went over to my cousin Natalies for our traditional family picnic. Later this evening we had our other traditional family BBQ over at Elayne and Mikes (normally we do this a Charlene ad Brady's but since Trevor and Nikki are getting married tomorrow Elayne and Mike were the hosts.

After dinner we all---EVERYONE went to the Macy's parking lot to watch the fireworks from the Stadium of Fire!

Now--we are headed to bed to sleep- so we can be alert for Trevor and Nikki's Wedding tomorrow.
